| Until now, all windshields available for the R1150GS were conventionally mounted on the stock BMW cowling. |
|
| According to Parabellum designer Charly Perethian, the protection level attainable is restricted by the long distance between the windshield and the rider, and by the handlebar clearance required to achieve full steering lock. |
|
| Parabellum has bypassed these design restrictions by mounting a new design windshield to the hand guard clamps, thus allowing a slightly wider, more effective windshield to be positioned 6 inches closer to the rider. |
